Verified by re-reading
Every destination file is read back off the disk with the OS cache bypassed and compared to the source hash. Not "the write returned OK" — actually read back.
Survives the worst day
A journal records every state change before it happens. Kill the app, pull the power: it resumes exactly where it stopped, and a half file never wears a real filename.
Proof travels with the footage
ASC MHL v2 next to the media, plus PDF/CSV/ALE reports — readable by any tool in post. No lock-in, no "you need our app to check this".

1 · Detect
Cards are recognized and classified the moment they mount — RED, Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Blackmagic, DCIM.
2 · Offload
Read once, write to every destination at once. Automatic reel names (A001, A002…) and gap warnings when one goes missing.
3 · Verify
Read-back verification on every drive, ASC MHL written, evidence panel showing exactly what was proven and where.
4 · Automate
Proxies, LUT dailies with burn-ins, clip metadata, offload and day reports — while the copy stays first in line.
5 · Deliver
Shuttle drive, S3 or SFTP with a signed chain-of-custody sheet. Connection drops just wait; nothing is ever "sent, probably".
6 · Format
The card is offered for formatting only when every file is verified on at least two physical drives. Typed confirmation, audit logged.
What Olycen will not do
The honest list.
- It will not call an empty scan a success. If a card reads as zero files, that is a failure with a reason, not a green check.
- It will not count two folders on one disk as two copies. Two copies means two physical devices.
- It will not guess. Unknown metadata shows as “—”. Camera reel names win over our counter, and conflicts ask you.
- It will not phone home. Activation is a signed file; there is no telemetry and no account. The set dashboard runs on your own network.
- It will not hold your data hostage. If a trial ends, new jobs stop — your files, reports and proofs stay open.
